URPotential held their first Futures Ball in September 2016, the aim of the event was to raise funds to help young people break down financial barriers to reach their potential. URPotential would like to thank everyone who attended the Ball and helped to raise the funds.

We are now offering an opportunity for young people (11-25) to apply for the funding to purchase items that would benefit them in gaining employment, training, education or volunteering.

The money raised is to support young people who struggle financially to reach their full potential. The funds will be available upon application & can be requested by contacting URPotential.

Individual Youth Fund Process

Application forms need to have sufficient information about how the funded items will benefit you in gaining employment, training, education or volunteering.

Following submission of application, young people may be invited for an informal interview or a telephone interview to obtain any further information that may be required in order to make a decision.

Applications will be considered by Blackpool Youth Council within two weeks of receipt.

Final authorisations will be within three weeks of receipt.

Applications will be contacted with the decision and consulted regarding the purchase.

URPotential will make the purchase of equipment, materials, etc. on behalf of the applicant

Criteria

  • Applicants must be 11-25 years old and live in Blackpool, Fylde or Wyre.
  • Maximum of £250; in exceptional circumstances additional funding may be applicable up to £500.
  • Individuals can only make one application per year.
  • URPotential will make the purchase on behalf of the applicant.
  • The Youth Fund is for individuals only

The funding must benefit the applicant’s development or access to education employment, training or volunteering.
