NYA Barclays Sessions
We are working with Barclays bank & the National Youth Agency to provide courses for people aged 14-25 who are interested in getting a number of skills around money management and job skills.
Course 1: ‘Get that dream job’ ‘Nail that interview’ ‘CV writing’ & ‘Top 5 skills’

Moving into Volunteering
This accredited one day course is for 14– 25 years of age and provides an introduction into volunteering. You can explore your existing skills, consider what volunteering opportunities are available and the roles and responsibilities of volunteering.

Introduction to Peer Mentoring
This accredited 1 day course is for 14– 25 years of age where you will explore an understanding of what is ‘mentoring’. You will understand the need to respect individuality and differences within the mentoring relationship.

Understanding the Role of Young People as Peer Mentors
Recognise the role as a peer mentor, recognise why peer mentoring is important to young people, appreciate the role of a peer mentor with young people within the community and recognise ways to assess own work with young people in the role of peer mentor.
Courses will run during school holidays – Easter/Summer
Babysitting
This is a course for young people 12 to 19 years of age, which carries an AQA Babysitting Certificate for all participants who successfully complete the course and course work.

Photography
This is a course for young people 14 to 25 years of age who would be interested in learning the basics of photography and how to get the most out of your camera!

Face Painting Course
This is a course for young people 14 to 25 years of age who would be interested in learning how to face paint!

Recycle-Upcycle Project – 8 Sessions
This accredited course provides young people the opportunity to learn skills in bike maintenance, recycling and cycle proficiency. They will each receive an accredited AQA certificate and cycle certificate. They will also be given their bike to keep along with a helmet and lights.
