URPotential pride itself in its delivery of research and consultancy projects. UR Potential successfully delivered consultation events with Blackpool families to support the Blackpool Child Poverty research programme.

We have engaged with families and young people to support the current Blackpool Big Lottery for Headstart, working very closely with parents of children who have accessed Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). We currently sit on the Headstart Steering Group as a key partner for the current Big Lottery Headstart Funding Bid.

Our recent work with Blackpool Council Third Sector supported the implementation of the Star Standard Quality Assurance for VCFS organisations across the Town. We were also one of the core partners for the Betters Start bid alongside NSPCC, NHS and Blackpool Council.

We are active full members of Greater Together and played active roles in developing and bidding for regional commissions as well as supporting the development of the capacity of organisations through consortium working.

In August 2014 we embarked  on a 12 month Cabinet Office commissioned research project for Groundwork Lancashire West and Wigan working alongside young people in St Helens on a social Action community Project. Our research methodology has been praised by both Groundwork and The Cabinet Office as best practice and we have secured very strong links with both for future collaborations. Results of the Action Research project will be available next year through Groundwork.
