Blackpool Youth Voice announced their new campaign that during Feb/March 2017 there will be the new Member of Youth Parliament elections. The group planned and ran 3 sessions at the Town hall. First was to meet the young people who have put themselves forward to be candidates and to discuss the process (Mon 6th Feb 5.30-7pm), the next session at the Town hall was a Q&A session for the running candidates (Wed 1st march 5.30-7pm), then the final session at the town hall was the final election day (Sat 4th march 11-1pm).

During the campaign the group advertised the role and this was sent to yp, schools, colleges, youth groups, carers centre etc. they set a deadline for the declaration of interest and then a voting time period.
The campaign received 450 votes all together for the 4 final candidates.
The BYV group members supported with the whole process, i.e manifestos & Q&A session.
The campaign was successful and have recruited new members to the group.
