I currently attend the University of Cumbria, studying Youth and Community Work. I have volunteered for many organisations including the YMCA, A-C-E and URPotential. I first came to URPotential on a university placement at the beginning of 2017 and still volunteer for the Fylde LGBT group on a Monday evening. I am the new non executive director of the company and look forward to my new role within URPotential. I have also recently been offered a chance to work within social care for young people as a trainee youth worker, I am excited to take on this new role and broaden my range of experience with young people.
I am a very open minded and non judgemental individual with past experience working with a variety of people of different ages. I have never had an issue with challenging or debating any discriminative behaviours. I stand for equality which has come about from my diverse range of interaction with people and a commitment to equal opportunities. I have unconditional passion for working with young people, and a key interest in the emotional health and wellbeing of individuals. Working with young people is what I wish to do in my future career ensuring vulnerable young people get the help and support they need and deserve.
