New youth led Alcohol project to start on Monday 30th January 4.00 t0 7.00 at Church Road methodist Church Hall, St Annes on Sea. Pizzas and refreshments are available.

Project open to young people aged 14 to 19 (upto 25 with additional needs)

Excellent news for a number of our trainee youth workers who have now gained part time and full time employment as youth workers in Blackpool Communities and projects.

Drama Queens nominated for Philip Lawrence Awards

Lancashire police have nominated the Drama Queens knife crime production for the Philip Lawrence Award. Jade Walmsley, youth volunteer drama tutor is thrilled “this is so well deserved for the group who have worked so hard to do this production, I am so proud of them”
We are so very proud of Jade and the group for all their work and especially for being nominated, WELL DONE!!!!!!!

Targeted youth work in Wyre and Fylde

UR Potential have been commissioned to deliver targeted youth work to NEET young people in Wyre and Fylde. The Media project will work with young people aged 14 – 19, training young people in media skills, communication, team building and volunteering. Watch this space for more details!!!!!!

Following the Blackpool Cool Pool AGM yesterday we are delighted to announce that Linda Markey is now the chair of Cool Pool and Deborah Terras is the representatitive for safeguarding.

Both Linda and Deborah will represent the members of Cool Pool and ensure a transparent and effective representation to all members and the wider community. We are both delighted to be elected.
