As part of the URPotential Team I was invited to go to the Careers and Enterprise annual conference in Sheffield on Wednesday 10th May, along with Nicola Dawber, member of Blackpool Youth Voice.   The conference/AGM showcased the work done by the Company across the country and also talked about the future investment for areas, to improve careers and enterprise provision in schools across England.

Our role was to show what URPotential can offer to schools & community regarding youth volunteering and social action. URPotential can provide interactive school assemblies and accredited training and volunteering opportunities. We can also offer 1 to 1 assessment and matching sessions so that we can engage and support young people to take part in volunteering,  fundraising and other social action activities.

Hundreds of people from across the education, business and skills sectors attended the conference, and we spoke to some lovely people including Dr Rania Marandos, Deputy CEO of the #IWILL  campaign……We also heard a very inspiring speech from the Olympic medal-winning gymnast Beth Tweddle MBE.

I was thrilled to be asked to represent URPotential at a national conference and I am now part of Blackpool Youth Voice working towards supporting the voice of young people in The Town.
