Our diverse team includes experienced qualified youth and community workers, community tutors, research practitioners and qualified administrators as well as qualified community artists, photographers, sports coaches and social media gurus! We have a combined working experience of over 150 years. We have various skills, knowledge and qualifications in community practice, informal and community education, community research and youthwork as well as qualified A1 assessors, Open Awards and AQA assessors/coordinators and Arts award assessors.

URPotential actively work with local communities, organisations and individuals across the North West and beyond, adopting an asset based community development approach. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas and projects to create or work alongside.. Please get in touch if you want to work alongside us.

Who are we?

URPotential is a Community Interest Company. We are a not for profit organisation.

Our aims and purpose are:

-To support each child, young person, adult, family and community to reach their full potential

-To encourage active citizenship within communities

-To work with individuals to increase their economic independence

-To provide fair and equal opportunities and remove any barriers to gain skills, build confidence and improve emotional health and well being

URPotential offer Volunteering Opportunities for young people aged 10 to 25 (including those with additional needs) and for targeted adults. We deliver social action projects and accreditations.

URPotential offer training to build capacity within communities and organisations. We can up skill individuals or groups in a range of skills so that they feel ready to take on new roles as volunteers or to venture into further education or paid employment. URPotential offers a varied collection of training and accredited courses to suit individuals, community groups and organisations. Please get in touch to find out more.

URPotential is a member of the The Online Centres Network – formerly UK online centres – aiming to help people use digital technology to become more included, access essential services and take advantage of the opportunities the internet provides. We provide basic computer and IT skills training for individuals and communities across the Fylde Coast.  We offer a drop in service for local community members to access computers to update their CV and complete job searches.

URPotential have a core group of qualified youth and community workers. We deliver a variety of youthwork & community projects which include: youth groups; LGBT, Art, Girls Group; Blackpool Youth Voice; 1:1 support; participation projects, National Citizens Service, Duke of Edinburgh and Building Better Opportunities.

URPotential has an excellent track record in research and consultancy: We have qualified researchers who can provide bespoke community consultations and research projects to meet the needs of projects. We have supported a variety of organisation in participatory practice and appreciative enquiry. We have worked alongside Local Authorities, communities, families, young people and more recently the Cabinet Office to design and deliver community research projects.
