On the 28th of March 2017 I embarked on a three-day trip to Ottawa in Canada for a conference on 30th March with the United Nations Associations Canada and The British Council Canada. I attended the event as part of the British delegation with the British Youth Council along with two other young people and one worker.

The Active Citizens Youth Innovation Summit was to showcase the ideas of 15 young Canadian innovators and social entrepreneurs who had participated in phase one of the Active Citizens Social Enterprise training program with UNA-C and British Council Canada. Our role as the British delegation was to give our opinions and advice on these ideas of these young peoples as subject experts due to our background in social enterprise. The summit was a major success and it was a great opportunity to promote the two countries working together on such a great topic, social enterprise within young people, which is not promoted and encouraged enough on the British Parliaments agenda.

I met two amazing young people form London who I will keep in regular contact with and work with in one shape or another and there may be a possibility for the North and South in the UK to work together by connecting myself and the two other people on campaigns in the future.
