URPotential is a delivery partner in 3 Building Better Opportunities (BBO) projects in Lancashire, which is part of the nationwide Building Better Opportunities scheme funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2023. The funding is investing in local projects that tackle the root causes of poverty, promote social inclusion and drive local jobs and growth.
Age of Opportunity – Over 50’s
This project aims to engage with older people (aged 50 and above) who live in the Lancashire LEP area and have low or no skills, thereby preventing them from engaging with training and employment opportunities. It will support them in moving towards and into employment. This project will be focused on the barriers to training, work and employment, taking an integrated approach to addressing these barriers. Invest In Youth
Invest in Youth is a new project that will support young people who are aged 15–24 and who are unemployed or economically inactive. This includes those not in education, employment or training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET, and will help to improve their skills and employability. The Changing Futures project aims to support those in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre who are at risk of not being able to secure employment. Support given will aim to identify, reduce and remove barriers that stand in the way of accessing work.
