We have been awarded the Mentoring and Befriending Approved Provider Status Award for our Fylde Coast Be Involved Peer Mentor Project

The assessor concluded that this is a well-designed peer mentoring programme which has the capacity and potential to provide an important local community service for young people. At an individual level there is good evidence that the programme can provide ‘life-changing’ support for young people who can have difficult and challenging personal circumstances. There is a clear focus on providing help at the time when a young person needs it most and at a pace which reflects individual situations. The assessor found that the peer mentors had received comprehensive training for their roles and demonstrated mature interpersonal and support skills to help the young people they were helping.
